Web Standards for HTML Emails — Show Your Support

Friday, October 12th, 2007

Whether you love or hate HTML emails, web standards based email client interpretation of HTML can’t hurt. And at least when you do get an HTML email, it’ll look nice from where ever you open it. And if it doesn’t, well your mouse curser will just be 70 pixels closer to the report spam button. How many spammers are going to adhere to web standards, let’s face it? Based on the fact that all email spammers are grease ridden inbred’s scared of natural light, there’s absolutely no chance they’ll have any understanding of web standards. So the push for web standards based email interpretation has a two fold benefit in my eyes.

To show your support for web standards based HTML email join the Campaign Monitor cause, they are doing a great job of promoting it and seem to be perfectly happy to head it up.
